Terms of Service
Last updated — 2026-06-14
Acceptance & eligibility
By creating an account or using Atlon, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
These Terms form a binding contract between you and Synaptic. We may update them as described in the "Changes to these Terms" section below.
You must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract in your country to hold a paying account. Where you act on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
One account per person. Notify us at hello@atlon.one if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
The service
Atlon is a creative platform that gives access to third-party AI models (language, image, video, voice, music) alongside a file system, chat interface, and related tools.
The models and features available may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We do not guarantee that any specific model or feature will remain available.
AI-generated content
Content you create with Atlon is generated by artificial intelligence. Where required, outputs are marked as AI-generated in a machine-readable format.
You must not remove, alter, or conceal these markings, and you must not present AI-generated content as if it were created by a human where doing so would mislead.
You must not generate content depicting real, identifiable people in a way that could falsely appear authentic (deepfakes) without a lawful basis and clear disclosure that the content is artificial.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Atlon to:
- generate, upload, or share illegal content of any kind; - generate or share adult or sexually explicit content; - create content sexualising, endangering, or exploiting minors — this is strictly prohibited and reported where required by law; - depict real, identifiable people without their consent; - infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; - scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its outputs in breach of these Terms; - circumvent credit limits, usage limits, or technical protections; - use the service to build a competing model or dataset.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach this section.
Reporting illegal content & removal
If you believe content on Atlon is illegal, you can notify us at abuse@atlon.one. Please describe the content, its location, and why you believe it is illegal, so we can assess your notice.
When we receive a valid and sufficiently detailed notice, or otherwise become aware of illegal content, we act to remove or disable access to it. Child sexual abuse material is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities.
If your content is removed or your account is restricted, we will inform you of the reason where required, and you may contest the decision by contacting us at abuse@atlon.one.
Ownership of outputs
As between you and us, you own the content you generate with Atlon, to the extent permitted by law and by the underlying model providers' terms.
We make no warranty that outputs are accurate, original, or free of third-party rights. AI can produce incorrect, biased, or similar results for different users. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and for how you use them.
Third-party models
Outputs are produced by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and others). Your use of these models is also subject to those providers' applicable terms and restrictions, which flow through to you.
We are not responsible for the providers' models, their availability, or their outputs.
We do not train on your data
We never use your data to train AI models. We send your prompts and files to AI providers solely to generate your results, under API terms that prohibit them from training on your inputs.
Your content remains yours and is not used to improve any model.
Intellectual property
Atlon, including its brand, software, interface, and design, is owned by Synaptic and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you no rights in them beyond using the service as intended.
The content you provide as input remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (such as storing and processing your content to deliver results to you).
Payments & credits
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
Atlon uses credits and/or plans as described on our pricing page. Credits you purchase do not expire. Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout; applicable VAT or other taxes are added where required.
Subscription plans renew for the billing period shown until cancelled.
Where your stored files exceed your plan's storage quota, additional storage is billed per GB at the rate shown in the service. We ask for your consent before charging any storage overage.
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract.
For digital content and credits supplied immediately, you can ask us to start providing the service during this period. By doing so and expressly acknowledging it, you agree that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has begun and to the extent it has been used. You confirm this at checkout.
To the extent credits remain unused and the service has not begun, you may still exercise your withdrawal right by contacting us at hello@atlon.one.
Refunds & cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time; it stops renewing at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then.
Except where the law grants you a refund (such as the withdrawal right above) or where we decide otherwise at our discretion, payments for used credits and elapsed subscription periods are non-refundable. Unused purchased credits remain available in your account and do not expire.
On cancellation or account closure, you can export your files as described in the service. Files you delete are kept in trash for 30 days, then permanently removed.
Suspension & termination
You may stop using Atlon and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service, other users, or third parties. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or harm to life or health.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Synaptic harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to consumers beyond what the law allows.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country.
For business users, the courts of France have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule.
Consumer mediation
If you are a consumer and a dispute is not resolved after contacting us at hello@atlon.one, you may refer the matter free of charge to our consumer mediator: [CECMC-approved mediator name + URL]. You may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the service. Continuing to use Atlon after changes take effect means you accept them.
